Development Updates

Delaware Cemetery Updates

The Cemeteries in Delaware page is in the process of being updated. We are pleased to announce an update taking place. We have a development table created by Bob Eckman (Website volunteer and DGS member). Bob has been working on finding additional cemeteries that were not in the original data and documenting them. In addition, he has been referencing the cemetery on the Find-A-Grave website and adding the reference link and a link to google maps.

The new table is a work in progress and will be updated occasionally. When completed this new table will replace the current table.

Please thank Bob for his hard work.

Member has breakthrough after New Website Event!

Thank you all so much for the amazing website and the event last night with guidance on its capabilities.

I’ve been searching for years for insight on my gggreat grandparents who were married in Delaware in 1819. A challenging timeframe to get much information.

I revisited the DGS Journal Archive last night using the search function by name and I had a breakthrough-found not only the answer to my question but a NOTE that explained a little of the situation. A death, a marriage, two babies, a divorce and a whole new marriage in Elkton!
