We are pleased to announce the availability of the recording and material of our Special Program: A Tour of the NEW DGS website.

Designed to make DGS resources easy to use, the website offers improved navigation, introduces new research about African American Civil War Veterans from Delaware, an all-new section with Delaware Resources for Everyone, and a new Member Library.

The tour includes an overview of the entire website and membership tools, plus a live deep dive into the newly published Directory of African American Veterans of the Civil War, a demo of at the new 61,000-person name index for the DGS Journal, and other new features.

Member has breakthrough after New Website Event!

Thank you all so much for the amazing website and the event last night with guidance on its capabilities.

I’ve been searching for years for insight on my gggreat grandparents who were married in Delaware in 1819. A challenging timeframe to get much information.

I revisited the DGS Journal Archive last night using the search function by name and I had a breakthrough-found not only the answer to my question but a NOTE that explained a little of the situation. A death, a marriage, two babies, a divorce and a whole new marriage in Elkton!
