Fri/Sat September 20-1, 2002 - Tracing Your Delmarva Ancestors two-day seminar at Salisbury University, Salisbury MD presented by The Maryland Genealogical Society. The public is welcomed. There will be presentations for beginners and veterans of family history. Twelve prominent speakers on topics dealing with boundary changes; migration from Virginia; availability and use of probate, military, land, church and lesser known records; research at the State Archives; Underground Railroad, the Swedes of New Sweden; and a session on Beginning Genealogy. The program will focus on topics of interest to family historians of Maryland and Delaware, especially the Maryland counties east of the Chesapeake Bay and the three Delaware counties. Vendors will be in attendance offering a large number of books, CD’s, maps and other miscellaneous items. A family name exchange will be generated from submissions by participants to allow attendees to connect with others researching the same families.
