Delaware Genealogical Society (DGS) Member Guidelines
Unlimited on-line queries -- posted immediately, plus one 30-word query/year in the DGS newsletter.
Newsletter queries appear on-line after they are published on paper.

Non-member Guidelines
Queries may be submitted first to the DGS newsletter at $5.00 for the first 30-words
plus $0.10 for each additional word (see specific newsletter query procedure below).
All queries placed in the newsletter will be posted on-line by DGS.
Or you may become a member, and use the procedure below.

On-line and Newsletter Query Qualifications and Procedure

Non-menbers may only submit newslettter queries.
All queries placed in the newsletter will be placed on-line by DGS.
Queries are limited to Delaware and adjoining counties of bordering states:

-- Cecil Co & Eastern Shore MD, Eastern Shore VA.

-- Chester and Delaware Co PA.

-- Salem and Gloucester Co NJ.
Please try to focus your query upon one individual.
Use recommended Abbreviations.
Include your E-mail and snail mail addresses and web site URL, if available.

We reserve the right to edit and to breakup long complicated queries into simpler more focused ones.
Only DGS members can submit on-line queries by using username and password (see procedure below).

Specific Newsletter Query Qualifications and Procedure

DGS Members get one free 30-word query/year in the newsletter.
-- Add $0.10 for each additional word over 30.
-- Word count does not include name, addresses, phone, etc. which are free.

Non-members may submit queries for the newsletter and web site by postal service, including a check (made out to the Delaware Genealogical Society) for $5.00 for the first 30 words of the query plus ten cents for each additional word -- word count does not include name, addresses, phone, etc. which are free. Note that a 46-word inquiry, for example, will cost $5.00 plus $1.60 (16 words over 30) or $6.60 total.

The query will appear first in our DGS Newsletter and then on the Web (DGS members can submit a query on-line directly - username and password from newsletter).

Specific On-line Query Procedure

DGS members may post an unlimited number of on-line queries, but only by submitting the queries themselves using the username and password from the printed newsletter. [NOTE: The only exception is that DGS will post all those queries that first appear in the newsletter.]
You may also modify any of your old queries using the same procedure.
This is a self-service procedure on the honor system.

The Delaware Genealogical Society does not have a volunteer equipped to answer general queries by email. You may submit short, one-subject, snail mail query to:
